Toyota’s new eight-gen 2018 Camry was unveiled in the hybrid version for Japan. Moving to the current generation, the Camry has faced a total design evolution featuring a flamboyant exterior styling, sporty performance, Japanese specs and two distinct variants, TRD and Modellista. By the way, the mid-size sedan’s full specs for Japan aren’t in yet.
Toyota says the 2018 Camry will be both spectacular to drive and look at boasting an upscale look, a lower gravity center along with a savvy-yet-stylish cabin inside the vehicle. The North-American version of the current Camry features three powertrains including a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, a 3.5-liter V6 petrol with D4S fuel injection and a 2.5-liter hybrid THS II variant. The Japanese-spec Camry is expected to resemble its NA brother, respectively, underpinning also the new TNGA platform with the extended wheelbase.
